Job summary

Geisinger in Scranton, PA seeks a dedicated full-time caregiver to join our clinical team. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, reliability, and strong attendance within evening/night shifts (3 x 12-hour blocks).

You will work closely with Registered Nurses to deliver quality care and support across the care team. Responsibilities include triaging patient needs, assisting with wound care and EKGs, and transporting items within the unit while maintaining safety and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Performs basic patient care under supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Promotes patient-centered care and a healing environment.
• Maintains safety and accuracy in specimen handling and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient care by observing and documenting needs.
• Report changes in patient condition to RN.
• Assist with wound care, splinting, and EKGs.
• Support rehabilitation and multidisciplinary care plans.
• Transport medications and specimens as needed.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and positioning.
• Coordinate care between providers, patients, and visitors.
