Baptist Health in Radcliff, KY, is seeking an ER Tech for the Weekend Program. This full-time role runs 11a–11p with 36 hours per week, every weekend, and includes a 25% weekend differential.

The incumbent will assist in patient care under nurse supervision, perform time-sensitive EKG testing, collect specimens, monitor vitals, and support routine nursing tasks. A high school diploma and BLS are required, with crisis prevention training annually.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Mandatory crisis prevention training to be completed and maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform designated patient care tasks under nurse supervision.
• Conduct time-sensitive EKG testing and communicate results promptly to the primary care giver.
• Collect specimens per policy (blood, throat/nasal swabs, stool, urine as trained).
• Take routine vital signs and document in the medical record.
• Perform blood glucose testing as ordered.

Training will include knowledge of proper lead placement as well as alternate studies such as reverse and right sided EKGs.* Collects specimens according to policy.
