Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. seeks an ER Tech/Unit Coordinator for the South Hospital ED. The role supports RNs in patient care, assists with admissions, discharges, and EKGs, and handles clerical tasks within the ED setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of Clinical Assistant/Medical Assistant/EMT training, and BLS certification. CNA/CMA/EMT certifications are valued; ED experience is preferred. This is a part-time, night-shift position in Shepherdsville, KY.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT training program.
• Nursing students who completed Fundamentals of Nursing may apply.
• CNA, CMA or EMT certifications preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ED experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measures and documents intake, vital signs, heights and weights.
• Transcribes and enters physician orders accurately.
• Assists RN/RT with procedures and patient setup.
• Provides patient hygiene, comfort, and mobility support.
• Transports patients and specimens safely.
• Maintains equipment and supplies; follows infection control policies.
