Responsibilities

The ECC (Emergency Care Center) Tech works in a 48 bed, full service Emergency Care Center, treating all ages. This role assumes the responsibility for assisting with the implementation of supportive clinical care. This includes strong clinical skills, clerical/courier duties, stocking, transporting, performing EKG’s, phlebotomy, IV’s and specific patient care duties. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: High School Education or GED

Within 6 months of hire: CPI

Required: Current BLS certification

Within 90 days of hire: Completion of basic arrhythmia (i.e. ECCO training module) or monitor tech class

Required: Current Florida EMT, CNA or CMA licensure/certification

Within 90 days of hire: Completion of LMS or classroom intravenous education and skill validation within 90 days

Required: Completion of an approved or EMT course, Nursing Assistant course, and/or Medical Assisting program, documented training and experience as an armed services medic/corpsman.

Preferred: ACLS and PALS
