Assist professional nursing staff in the ED by performing specific functions related to patient care not requiring a license. Including personal assistance with activities of daily living and the maintenance of the environment. Also included in the responsibilities for the Emergency Department Technician to report any significant changes in patient condition to the RN and/ or Physician . Job Duties are listed below but may not be “all inclusive” and may require additional training and/or classes.

Represent the organization professionally; Maintain competency and knowledge of current standards of practice; Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities; Comply with organizational and regulatory policies regarding confidential patient information; Demonstrate excellent customer service through positive interactions with patients, visitors, and coworkers; Promote teamwork, communication, and patient safety.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, transport patients, move equipment, and provide direct patient care throughout the shift. Must be able to work in a fast-paced emergency department environment and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
