Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. in Miami Beach is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join our team. The role supports nurses and physicians, assists with assessments, treatments, and IV starts, and helps maintain the ED environment.

The ideal candidate has CPR certification and up to 3 years of ER experience, with EMT or Medical Assistant licensure preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities within a major Florida hospital.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Up to 3 years of ER Technician experience preferred.
• EMT, Paramedic and/or Medical Assistant license, preferred.
• High School or equivalent required; foreign medical/Medical Assistant degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive care to Emergency Department patients under supervision of RN or physician.
• Assists RN and physicians with assessments, examinations and treatment.
• Performs and assists with technical skills, supplies and equipment maintenance, high level disinfection as defined in scope of practice.
• Transports patients and supplies; documents care including vital signs and rounds.
• Maintains and prepares rooms between patients and procedures; monitors stock and restocks supplies.
