POSITION SUMMARY: Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a RN in the ER and Med-Surg setting. Performs general nursing duties. Must be able to provide care to all ages. Registers patients, enters charges and completes hospital required paperwork. Will help with needed overnight housekeeping and other tasks as needed.
High school graduate or GED required.
Successful completion of a Nurse Aide Course and is listed as eligible or Active on State of Iowa nurse’s aide registry, is a Certified Medical Assistant or a certified EMT in the State of Iowa within 12 months of hire.
Previous C.N.A. or C.M.A. experience preferred.
BLS (CPR) certified or obtained within 3 months of hire.
Proven computer skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Able to handle potentially high stress situations in a professional manner.
