Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's Nacogdoches Medical Center is seeking an ED patient care support professional to render basic patient care, take vital signs, and assist nursing staff in the ED. You will help with specimens, treatments, and patient comfort, and operate or assist in devices as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, EMT or 2+ years ED tech experience, and BLS certification. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

• Minimum Experience: EMT or 2 years of ED tech experience or 5 years of patient care tech experience in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare routine, confidential and /or special reports, documents and records; assists with patient care/quality improvement audits and core measures.

Job Summary

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus
Renders basic patient care to patients in the ED and assists the professional nurse. Takes and records vital signs, observes, reports and records patient condition. Obtains specimens and administers other treatments. Operates or assists in operating various mechanical devices. Meets physical comfort needs of patient. Reports emergencies and administer emergency treatment and performs other related duties as assigned. Appropriate care of instruments and equipment.

Prepare routine, confidential and /or special reports, documents and records; assists with patient care/quality improvement audits and core measures.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Minimum Experience:EMT or 2 years of ED tech experience or 5 years of patient care tech experience in acute care setting.

Required Certification: BLS required
