Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS often required for pediatric/ICU areas
• NRP certification required for NICU or per policy
• Fetal monitoring certification preferred or required for L&D
• APHON/ONCC chemotherapy credentials required within specified timelines

Responsibilities

• Evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides age-appropriate education.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, disposition, referrals, and spiritual/ psychosocial support.
• Plans, implements and evaluates care based on assessment to optimize outcomes and resources.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition; maintains accurate records.
• Delegates care to ancillary staff and may precept students or new hires.
