Job summary

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Pulaski is seeking an ER Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a PRN basis. The role offers self-scheduled preference requests, shift swaps, and the chance to participate in our new Emergency Department.

As an ER RN, you will provide direct patient care, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with the care team to support patients and families in a fast-paced environment. TN license required or compact state with Tennessee paperwork.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Licensure as RN in Tennessee or Compact State with Tennessee paperwork within 30 days.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP; STABLE within 90 days; TNCC/ENPC preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform treatments.
• Document care and monitor patient condition for the team, physician, patient and family.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient mobility.
• Coordinate care with the team, including transfers, discharges and referrals.
• Educate patients and families respecting age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the patient's physical and emotional well-being.
