Job summary

Ochsner Health System is hiring a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for night shifts. You will lead and support the nursing team, deliver care using the nursing process, and ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

The role requires an RN license, BLS, CPI, ACLS, and PALS within stated timeframes, with preferred additional nursing certifications. Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse diploma required.
• Preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• CPI, ACLS, PALS certifications within 30–90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process in patient care delivery.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching for patients and families.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
• Embraces practices that enhance patient satisfaction and staff morale.
• Adapts care to diverse patient populations and maintains privacy and professionalism.
• Performs other related duties as required.
