Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Hellertown for full-time night shifts. You will provide professional nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in accordance with facility policies.

Responsibilities include collaboration with physicians and the care team, ensuring safety and quality, and educating patients and families throughout treatment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nursing program.
• RN license in Pennsylvania (Upon Hire).
• American Heart Association BLS certification (Upon Hire).
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care.
• Successful completion of unit-specific orientation and competency programs.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for designated patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to address patient needs.
• Make decisions using ANA standards of practice and professional ethics.
• Contribute to quality and safety initiatives and participate in performance improvement.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course.
• Mentor new colleagues and precept interns as assigned.
