Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required.
• 1+ years RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification may be required in some units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma/ASN/BSN preferred; BSN within 4 years encouraged.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform job duties; basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Adult Emergency Department, including assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies laid out by BMC nursing organization.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
