Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS seeks an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while collaborating with physicians and other disciplines to achieve optimal outcomes.

This role requires ED nursing knowledge, ACLS/BCLS/ENPC/PALS/TNCC certifications, and commitment to safety, quality improvement, and compassionate patient care in a Level I Trauma center context.

Qualifications

• RN licensed registered nurse in good standing.
• ACLS, BCLS, ENPC, and other required certifications with timelines.
• Emergency Department nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient-centered nursing care in accordance with Wesley Medical Center standards.
• Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and participates in quality improvements.
• Acquires and maintains current knowledge in nursing practice and education.
• Monitors the patient’s progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and health care providers in delivering care.
• Ensures safety and cost effectiveness in patient care.
• Applies age-appropriate competencies to department population.
• Demonstrates critical thinking to access resources in patient scenarios.
• Secures, administers and handles medications per guidelines.
