Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license valid in Virginia or a compact state.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required within stated timeframes.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within the stated period.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management with reassessments.
• Perform procedures and monitor patients as ordered; document care promptly.
• Respond to patient requests promptly and address needs proactively.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up steps.
• Teach healthy lifestyle changes and prepare families for self-management.
