Job summary

HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese, Illinois, is seeking aRegistered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency team on a PRN basis with rotating shifts. Ideal candidates will apply clinical knowledge to coordinate and perform hands-on acute patient care at the bedside in a fast-paced ED setting.

Requirements include active RN license in IL/WI with multi-state eligibility, BLS and ACLS certifications; BSN preferred. CCRN/CEN/PALS/NRP are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Bachelor’s of science in nursing is preferred.
• Critical Care Nursing experience is preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
• Wisconsin: RNs may begin employment with a valid multi-state RN license; a WI RN license will be required within 30 days of establishing permanent residency.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is preferred in the specialty area worked.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform hands-on acute patient care at the bedside in the Emergency Department.
• Provide patient-focused, mission-driven care.
• Rotate schedules and participate in PRN shifts as needed.
