Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN license in state of practice or compact license.
• Basic life support (BCLS) certification required.
• Advanced life support certifications preferred (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
• Strong knowledge of nursing process and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ER according to policies and nursing process.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings; report changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities as needed.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure patient safety.
