Job summary

MercyOne Davenport is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department. You will perform rapid assessments, develop emergency care plans, and provide timely, coordinated care for patients in a high-volume setting.

Required ADN with Iowa RN license (IL license within a year) and BLS; ACLS if telemetry is used; strong math, language skills, and basic computer proficiency are expected. Full-time schedule, generous benefits, and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license; IL license within one year.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring.
• Mandatory Reporter training due within 3 months of hire.
• High language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking ability.
• Basic computer skills required.

Schedule:

• Day Split Shift: 07-1930 and 09-2130

• 36 hours per week, 3 (12 hr) shifts

• Every 3rd weekend

• Holiday rotation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs Rapid and Comprehensive Assessments

• Develops and Implements Emergency Care Plans.

• Delivers Timely and Effective Interventions

• Prepares patients for diagnostic testing, procedures, or transfer to higher levels of care

• Evaluates Patient Responses and Adjusts Care

• Facilitates Communication and Coordination

• Demonstrates Clinical Competence in Emergency Nursing

• Manages Multiple Patients and Prioritizes Care

• Provides Age-Appropriate and Culturally Sensitive Care

• Ensures Safety and Compliance

• Maintains Professional Standards and Regulatory Compliance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate degree in nursing required.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Current Iowa RN license, IL RN license within one year required.

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.

• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire

• High language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking ability

• Basic computer skills required
