Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patient presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.
• Utilizes evidence-based practice to assess, triage, plan, implement, and evaluate care in a fast-paced environment.
• Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs, CNAs, ED Techs, and other team members.

• Additional compensation for the weekend package
• Night shift differential
• Plus, the regular weekend differential

Schedule

• Night shift, 36 hours per week
• Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday (48/52 weekends per year)

POSITION PURPOSE

Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patientspresenting withurgent and emergent medical conditions. Utilizes evidence-based practice and critical thinking to assess, triage, plan, implement, and evaluate care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The Emergency Room (ED) RN manages a diverse patient population across all age groups and conditions, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies. Supervises andcoordinatescare provided by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, Emergency Room Techs, and other ED team members.Facilitatescommunication with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Adheres toMercyOne’sperformance expectations and upholds the Mission, Vision, and Values ofMercyOne.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree in nursingrequired.

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Pay Range: $32.74 - $49.11 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
