Job summary

Dukes Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for Day Shift in the Emergency Room. The role offers a sign-on bonus and student loan repayment program along with comprehensive health benefits and tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities include patient-centered nursing care, assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team. The RN will respond to emergencies, participate in life-saving procedures, and document care thoroughly.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• Active RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Complete thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies with CPR and code team participation.
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record.
