Job summary

The Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital Association is seeking a skilled RN to join the Emergency Room team. This on-site role requires assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to meet patient needs. You will work under supervision, document care, and advocate for patients and families.

Required are an Associate Degree in Nursing and current NE RN license or temporary permit, with BLS certification. Prior ER or specialized unit experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's preferred).
• Experience: Previous clinical experience in specific clinical unit preferred.
• Certifications: BLS certification required.
• Licenses: Current RN license or Temporary permit from Nebraska required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete patient assessments and communicate to the providers.
• Document and maintain accurate nursing records.
• Function as patient advocate between patient and providers, and interact professionally with patients and families.

• Function as patient advocate between patient, physicians, other healthcare providers, administration, etc., as needed, and interact professionally with patients and family members.
• Initiate diagnostic, preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate to the patient's care and safety.
• Administer medications to patients in accordance with approved standards of nursing knowledge and competency, based on age of patient, patient's clinical condition and physician orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's preferred).
• Experience: Previous clinical experience in specific clinical unit preferred.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: BLS certification required.
• Current registered nursing (RN) license or Temporary permit from the State of NE required.
