Key Job Details – ER RN Travel Assignment

• Location: Yakima, WA 98902
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing – Emergency Room Registered Nurse
• Unit: Emergency Department (ED), Level III Trauma Center
• Duration: 16 weeks (October 6, 2025 – January 24, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (varied start times; flexibility required)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2130
• Patient Ratio: 1:3–5 based on acuity
• Setting: 34-bed Emergency Department with 12 hallway beds and fast track zone
• Benefits: Free parking, flexible scrub color (no logos)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Washington RN license preferred for local candidates)
• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience in a high-volume, high-acuity setting
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC
• Strong emergency nursing skills, including critical care and pediatric experience
• Proficiency with chest tubes, arterial lines, blood administration, Bipap/Ventilators, splinting, and medication drips
• Experience with barcode scanning medication administration
• Triage experience required; must pass hospital triage test
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR strongly recommended
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, including trauma, stroke, cardiac, behavioral health, and substance use disorder cases
• Stabilize and transfer high-acuity patients as needed (e.g., neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, high-acuity pediatrics)
• Assist with emergency procedures such as chest tube and arterial line setup, splinting, and trauma/code cases
• Administer medications and manage drips using barcode scanning technology
• Conduct triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical assessment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including ED techs, medical assistants, charge nurses, and advanced practice providers
• Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development for emergency nurses
