Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center Inc is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The role offers full-time, part-time, or per diem options with day or night shifts on a 3 x 12-hour schedule. Competitive pay ranges from $37.00 to $51.28 per hour plus a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Requirements include an active state RN license, BLS; ACLS; PALS and/or ENPC/NRP certifications within set timelines. BSN preferred; CEN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license, active in state with eligibility to work in Maine
• BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC/NRP certifications within required timelines
• BSN preferred but not required for all candidates
• CEN preferred; TNNC within 12 months may be required
• NRP within 90 days and maintain current

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry and ED.
• Provide direct patient care and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician and document results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; ensure EMTALA compliance.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and advise on treatment plans.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred

Current BLS certificate

Current ACLS certificate

Current PALS certificate

ENPC certification

NRP certification

Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC)

Emergency Nurse Credential (CEN) - preferred
