Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking Registered Nurses for non-MAGNET facilities in the Emergency Department. The role entails providing comprehensive nursing care, directing team members, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centered outcomes.

Minimum requirements include an Associate's Degree in Nursing with at least one year of RN experience, SC or compact state RN licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in nursing and a minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse is required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and lead other team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide age-appropriate care.
• Maintain patient privacy and promote a professional, respectful environment.
• Coordinate care through care management principles and monitor patient outcomes.
• Participate in shared governance and ongoing professional development.
