Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Houghton in Tucson, AZ seeks a per-diem Emergency Room RN to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and deliver timely interventions in a fast-paced ED environment.

You will assess patients, administer medications, assist with procedures, document care, and maintain infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting patients and families during emergencies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a clinical nursing role in an emergency care setting.
• RN licensure required; Basic Life Support (BCLS) required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and collaboration with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Performs thorough assessments, documents findings, and reports changes to the care team.
• Administers medications, monitors side effects, and supports procedures as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians and nurses to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to emergencies with CPR and code team participation.
