Job summary
University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Health Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced ED. The RN will support high-quality patient outcomes at the Benton/Bryant location and contribute to exceptional nurse retention and professional development.
The role requires a valid RN license, BLS/ACLS, and strong communication skills. The position includes a night shift, full-time schedule, and comprehensive benefits in a hospital
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelors in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
- Valid RN License.
- 1 year of Registered Nursing experience.
- Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC. PALS within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Emergency Department patients.
- Adhere to Nurse Practice Act and institutional policies.
- Administer medications per orders and educate patients/families.
- Develop and evaluate Plans of Care with interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in ongoing nursing education and clinical mentoring.
