Job summary

Belton Regional Medical Center in Belton, Missouri, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team in a fast-paced ED.

Responsibilities include pain assessment and management, accurate documentation, prompt response to patient needs, and education for patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license in good standing.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS or completed within stated timeframes.
• Associate degree or higher in nursing; trauma care training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient pain; monitor and document care.
• Provide care in collaboration with physicians and care team.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and requests.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up.
• Promote patient self-management and healthy lifestyle choices.
