Job summary

St. Francis–Emory Healthcare in Columbus, GA, a 376-bed community hospital, part of the ScionHealth network, seeks an RN in the Emergency Department to provide direct and indirect patient care in a high-acuity setting.

The RN collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective care and adheres to regulatory standards and infection control practices. ADN required; BSN preferred; active RN license with BLS/ACLS/PALS required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred; BSN encouraged.
• Current state RN license or compact state equivalent required.
• BLS within facility policy.
• ACLS within facility policy.
• PALS within facility policy.
• CPI within facility policy.
• TNCC/ASLS preferred or required within facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs triage and prioritizes patient care based on acuity.
• Administers medications, performs procedures, and manages critical drips.
• Assists physicians with exams and procedures in the emergency department.
• Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets cardiac rhythms.
• Documents care, treatment, assessments, and education accurately and timely.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team for optimal care delivery.
• Responds calmly and professionally in high-stress, life-threatening situations.
