Job summary

Qualifications

• Current CA RN License.
• Current BLS Provider.
• Current ACLS.
• Current PALS.
• CPI training within 3 months of hire or transfer.
• Six months nursing experience.
• External candidates must have a BSN or higher.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Follow hospital and department policies and procedures.
• Promote teamwork and positive co-worker relationships; provide support and answer requests promptly.
• Maintain high productivity and prioritise tasks; make sound decisions and know when to request help.
• Care for patients with varied acuity; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and adjust care plans as needed.
• Safely administer medications and IVs per policy; address patient and family education needs.
