Job summary

UCI Health, the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care across units. The role requires nursing process proficiency and strong collaborative skills within a multidisciplinary team.

The candidate must hold a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS, with CPI training due within three months of hire and at least six months of nursing experience. External candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher.

Qualifications

Current CA RN License.
Current BLS Provider.
Current ACLS.
Current PALS.
CPI Training within three (3) months of hire or transfer.
Six (6) months nursing experience.
External candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or above.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient care using the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Float to other units with orientation and competency-based assignment adjustments.
Develop and implement age- and culturally appropriate care plans with patients and families.
Contribute to the written plan of care and patient care documentation.
Participate in interdisciplinary patient rounds and collaborate with physicians and staff.
Safely administer medications and IVs according to hospital policy and procedures.
