Job summary

Novant Health in Thomasville is seeking an experienced RN for our Emergency Department. The 26-bed ED handles rapid assessment, stabilization, and time-sensitive care for a wide range of emergencies, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions.

This role supports a designated Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center with a collaborative team approach. Schedule is 11 AM–11 PM, full-time (36 hours/week), with emphasis on fast decision-making and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; RN licensure in state required; if inactive, refresher course required prior to reactivating license.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year relevant experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid assessment, stabilization, initiating treatment, and managing patients during their most critical moments of care.
• Work closely with providers to quickly identify needs and respond to changes in condition.
• See patients who require rapid assessment and time-sensitive interventions.
• Focus on stabilization, critical assessment, and initiating care quickly.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient patient flow and care delivery.
