Job summary

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) delivers fundamental, knowledge-based care to assigned patients while developing technical skills. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for diverse patient groups, emphasizing education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the care continuum.

The role requires adherence to licensure requirements, English proficiency, and a track record in acute care settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program with active RN license
• Proficiency in basic written and spoken English as required by policy
• Ability to coordinate and deliver patient education and self-management support

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent and emergent care to patients with acute and chronic conditions
• Delegate basic nursing tasks and supervise licensed/ unlicensed staff as appropriate
• Develop and implement care plans based on patient assessments and education needs
• Participate in a comprehensive care continuum including discharge planning and family education
