Position Overview

This position involves assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Room.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide age-specific, developmentally appropriate nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Complete accurate and legible documentation on medical records.
• Monitor and record patient signs, symptoms, and behaviors.
• Propose revisions to interventions and outcomes as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow physician orders in delivering nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform tests per policies and regulations.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Participate in care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures.

Other Job Functions

• Perform quality assessment activities and document findings.
• Attend required staff meetings and training.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure without sanctions.
• At least 2 years of full-time RN experience in ER or similar.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; ENPC may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English, both written and oral.
