Job summary

Paylocity invites applications for an ER Physician capable of delivering rapid medical care in Pflugerville, TX. You will assess, diagnose, and treat emergencies in a fast-paced team setting, coordinating with nurses and specialists to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires Texas licensure, residency in emergency medicine, and experience in ED or Urgent Care environments. Competitive hourly rates include observation pay and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active Texas State Licensure
• Completed Residency in Emergency Medicine or related specialty
• One year of Emergency Medicine or Emergency Medicine Residency
• PALS/ACLS/ATLS (BLS preferred)
• Experience in a free-standing ED or urgent care setting (preferred)
• Experience managing multiple clinical sites and leading cross-functional teams
• Medical degree from an accredited medical institution
• Deep knowledge of current medical practices, procedures, and equipment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work and think quickly in a high-stress environment
• Internal, Family or Emergency Medicine backgrounds are preferred

Responsibilities

• Immediate Evaluation and Diagnosis in the ER.
• Administering urgent medical treatments and procedures as needed.
• Stabilization of patients before transfer or further care.
• Collaborate with nurses, paramedics, and specialists for comprehensive care.
• Interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Effective communication with patients and families about diagnoses and plans.
• Accurate record-keeping of visits, diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development in emergency medicine.
