Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a licensed pharmacist to join our hospital-based clinical pharmacy team. You will participate in clinical and distributive services, dispense medications, and support programs that promote safe, cost-effective therapies for all patients.

Candidates should have a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, be licensed in good standing, and willing to meet preceptor and PGY1 residency preceptorship requirements; ASHP residency/board certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Active licensure as a pharmacist in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Maintain preceptor license with the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency preceptorship upon hire.
• Board certification in related practice area encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administration of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes, to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
