Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a pharmacist to participate in all clinical and distributive pharmacy services, ensuring safe and cost-effective therapies for all patients. The role supports program development, maintains regulatory compliance, and contributes to departmental education and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm D degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Experience: Preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Licensure: Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Preceptor license: Must maintain preceptor license through the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• ASHP PGY1 preceptorship: Required to achieve/maintain.
• Board certification: Strongly encouraged to achieve/maintain in related practice area.

Responsibilities

• Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administration of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes, to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
