Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a pharmacist to participate in clinical and distributive pharmacy services, ensuring safe, cost-effective therapies for diverse patient populations. The role supports program development, implementation, and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include processing orders, dispensing medications per protocols, contributing to education, and advancing efficiency, patient safety, and outcomes across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administration of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes, to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
