Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a pharmacist to support clinical and distributive pharmacy services, ensuring safe, cost-effective drug therapies for all patients. The role emphasizes development, implementation, and maintenance of programs that promote desirable outcomes across age groups.

The position involves processing orders, dispensing per policy, and contributing to education and departmental initiatives while maintaining regulatory adherence and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Experience: Preferred completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent, but not required.
• Preferred clinical pharmacy experience in a hospital setting.
• Required licensure as a pharmacist and in good standing with the OK State Board of Pharmacy.
• Required to maintain preceptor license through the OK State Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
• Required to achieve/maintain ASHP-endorsed PGY1 residency program preceptorship upon hire.
• Strongly encouraged to achieve/maintain board-certification in related practice area.

Responsibilities

• Ensures age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Participates in departmental targeted clinical programs as assigned.
• Process orders and dispense medications according to established policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Administration of the ACGME accreditation and reporting requirements to external agencies.
• Ensure age-appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication therapies for patients.
• Contribute to the educational goals of the department.
• Enhance the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of pharmacy processes, to promote patient safety and improve outcomes.
