Job summary

Mountains Community Hospital in California is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care to patients in multiple units.

The role requires an AA degree or equivalent, nursing licensure in CA and BLS; ACLS/PALS depending on department. On-call duties apply. Collaborative teamwork and compassionate patient care are essential across ED, Med/Surg, Perioperative, and SNF.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current State of California Nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• ACLS on hire; PALS within 6 months; Basic arrhythmia certification within 6 months (ED).
• ACLS on hire; PALS within 6 months; Basic arrhythmia certification within 6 months (Med/Surg/House Supervisor).
• ACLS (Perioperative Services).

Responsibilities

• Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care to patients.
• On‑site care across Medical Surgical Unit, Emergency Services, Perioperative Services and Skilled Nursing Facility.
• On call required.

SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care to patients that are ill, injured convalescent or disabled per the State of California Nursing Practice Act in the following settings at Mountains Community Hospital: Medical Surgical Unit, Emergency Services, Perioperative Services and Skilled Nursing Facility. On call required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school.

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

• Preferred one to two years’ experience in specific nursing service i.e. Emergency Services,
• Perioperative Services, Medical Surgical Services, Skilled Nursing Services.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current State of California Nursing license.

Current BLS certificate.

For Emergency Department:

• ACLS upon hire
• PALS Within 6 months of Hire
• Basic arrhythmia certification required within 6 months of hire

For Med/Surg and House Supervisor:

• ACLS upon hire
• PALS within 6 months of hire
• Basic arrhythmia certification required within 6 months of hire

For Perioperative Services:

• ACLS
