Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Paramedic Nurse Extender to support the delivery of safe, compassionate care under supervision by a registered nurse or physician.

Ideal candidates hold a GA paramedic license with NREMT, BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and at least 1 year of paramedic experience. GED or high school diploma required, with duties including patient advocacy and education.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as a Paramedic preferred.
• Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia and National Registry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care under supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment and educate patients and families.
• Assist in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health care delivery.
• Oversee unlicensed personnel and participate in performance improvement.
