Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown in Georgia seeks a Paramedic Nurse Extender to support age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care under supervision of a registered nurse or physician. You will ensure a safe environment and educate patients and families while gathering information and using technology.

You will participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, while supervising unlicensed personnel and promoting performance improvement.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or to be obtained per policy.
• Licensed Paramedic in state and national registry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
• Educate patients and families and advocate for patients.
• Collect information, communicate effectively, and utilize technology.
• Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
