Job summary

Children’s Mercy is seeking an Emergency Nursing Services Technician to provide supportive patient care under licensed staff supervision and to help maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of child- or family-facing experience; CNA certification is required upon hire. On-site work at our Kansas City campus is expected, with vaccination requirements noted for employment eligibility.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years experience. A minimum of one year experience working with children, families or customer service.
• Emergency Department experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
• Attends to a safe environment and promotes efficiency of operations.
• Provides clerical assistance in the absence of a unit secretary.
• Attends education programs, unit meetings and assigned committees; participates in performance improvement activities.
• Shares responsibility for teaching and orientation of new personnel (within own skill level).
