Job summary

Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City is seeking an Emergency Nursing Services Care Tech. You will provide supportive patient care under licensed nurses and help maintain a safe environment, with duties including clerical tasks when needed. This full-time on-site role requires working 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

at Adele Hall. A CNA is required upon hire; ED experience is preferred. Immunization records are required per policy, with exemptions discussed with Human Resources.

Qualifications

Overview

The Emergency Nursing Services Technician performs a variety of supportive technical, clinical, and clerical tasks under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and as directed by the Charge Nurse or Nursing Department Director. The Emergency Nursing Services Technician demonstrates commitment to providing safe and effective care.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Required Upon Hire
  • If not a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), one of the following criteria must be met: Enrolled in a professional (BSN/AD) or practical (LPN) nursing education program and have successfully completed the fundamentals in nursing course, Within the past three (3) years, was a professional (BSN/AD) or practical (LPN) nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state examination in any state. Worked as a nurse assistant, emergency medical technician (EMT), or surgical technician within the past three (3) years. Completed an UAP (unlicensed assistive personnel) program in Missouri or another State (that meets current regulatory requirements) within the past three (3) years. Completed a professional (BSN/AD) or practical (LPN) nursing program outside the United States and is awaiting the licensure examination in the country. Required Upon Hire

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $17.83/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
