Job summary

WellSpan Health's Emergency Department in Ephrata is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support patient care and vital sign checks. Shifts include days and evenings, with every third weekend and some holidays as needed.

The role involves assisting with tests, documentation in the ECare system, and coordination with RNs and EMS. Requires a High School diploma or GED and BLS; CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year as Nursing Assistant, EMT or nursing student required.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care and personal assistance to patients.
• Assists in preparation and transportation of patients for tests and procedures.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes to the RN.
• Documents vital signs and care notes in ECare; uses approved techniques for specimens where applicable.
• Sets up and maintains equipment and supplies; responds to call lights.
