Theuniversityunion in Manchester, IA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for weekend night shifts in the Emergency Department. You will work 1830-0700 with potential mid-shift hours and holiday rotation, delivering high-quality patient care and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications include IA RN license, BLS/ACLS, and pediatric/ TNCC/PALS where applicable, with strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Iowa.
• At least two years of emergency medicine experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS upon hire.
• PALS certification (within 6 months of hire).
• TNCC certification (within 1 year of hire).
• Child and Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter Training required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and promote optimal patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Demonstrate EMTALA knowledge and render safe care.
• Assess and reassess patient condition; coordinate with providers.
• Communicate patient information and orders to staff.
• Use Omnicell to obtain medications and manage supplies.
• Assist with discharge teaching and patient family education.
• Ensure accurate documentation and inventory management.
