Job summary

Tribal Health seeks experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses to provide coverage at Pine Ridge Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD, an IHS environment serving the Oglala Lakota community.

Active RN license (compact SD eligible), current BLS, ACLS and PALS are required; TNCC may be needed depending on contract. Expect rural emergency care with independent assessment and stabilization of adult and pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license.
• Compact license or ability to practice in South Dakota.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• TNCC preferred/required depending on current contract.
• Recent Emergency Department experience.
• Ability to independently assess, prioritize and manage patients across varying acuity levels.
• Comfortable caring for adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize patients across varying acuity levels.
• Stabilize and treat adult and pediatric patients in a rural IHS setting.
• Provide ED coverage and work independently as needed.
