Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing; Registered Nurse license and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Must be licensed as NP in Maryland or other state where practicing.
• Current CPR certification required. Must maintain current licensure and certification during duration of employment.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Responsibilities

• Perform a comprehensive, accurate history and physical including chief complaint, presenting signs and symptoms, and past medical history.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and other services when delegated by supervising physician.
• Initiate IV therapy and basic/advanced life support in emergencies.
• Prescribe and regulate medications.
• Arrange consultations and referrals when needed.
• Participate in clinical staff meetings and contribute to research protocol design and conduct.
