Job summary

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, VA seeks an experienced Emergency Nurse Manager (RN) to lead both the Emergency Department and a 15-bed Observation Unit. This full-time role offers relocation and sign-on for eligible candidates.

You will oversee staffing, clinical nursing practice, and patient safety initiatives while partnering with physicians and support staff to deliver high-quality care in a respected, Magnet-recognized system.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 2 years nursing experience in ED/observation settings.
• Licensure: BLS & ACLS required; Virginia RN license.

Responsibilities

• Oversees assigned unit to ensure it is performing effectively, including staffing and training.
• Manages clinical nursing practice and care delivery to support optimal outcomes.
• Monitors patient satisfaction and improves care using evidence-based practices.
• Participates in patient safety programs and staff competency development.
• Develops and monitors unit-level process-improvement metrics.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
