Job summary

Surepoint Emergency Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team and oversee patient care in a 24/7 emergency setting. The role ensures safe, compliant operations and aligns clinical leadership with administrative strategy.

The Nurse Manager will supervise staffing, quality improvement, and regulatory readiness, while supporting professional growth and high-quality patient outcomes across the department.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Texas.
• BSN required; MSN or leadership certification preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of emergency room nursing experience.
• Prior leadership or nurse management experience preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be current).
• Working knowledge of state/federal healthcare regulations, staffing models, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour oversight of nursing operations and staff performance.
• Promote a culture of safety, shared governance, and professional development.
• Maintain regulatory compliance (Texas Department of Health, Board of Nursing, CLIA, COLA, TMB, Pharmacy Board).
• Ensure timely completion of I-9s, license/certification tracking, MedTrainer compliance, and staff performance evaluations.
• Hire, train, and onboard qualified nursing personnel; manage staffing and coverage.
• Lead quality improvement, KPI monitoring, incident reporting, and patient satisfaction.
• Oversee department budgets, forecasting, and value-based care alignment.
• Utilize health information systems for reporting and data-driven decisions.
