Job summary

Reston Hospital Center is seeking an experienced RN Manager for Emergency Services to lead nursing and ancillary staff in a dynamic ER environment. The role emphasizes clinical and administrative leadership, staff development, and coordination with the Director and healthcare team.

Requirements include a BSN, Virginia RN license (or compact state), and 5+ years ER experience with leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Master Degree in related field preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Virginia or compact state.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC/CPI preferred.
• 5+ years ER experience required; 3+ years ER leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Role model clinically and administratively for nursing and ancillary staff.
• Make clinical and administrative decisions in the division with/without the Director.
• Manage personnel to provide nursing care and services.
• Ensure adequate and competent staffing and efficient scheduling.
• Evaluate care outcomes and address issues affecting patient outcomes.
• Ensure age- and culturally-appropriate care and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with area colleagues and participate in leadership development programs.
